Senior Operations Associate
Alexa has over six years of dedicated client service experience, including four in the financial industry. Before joining CoastEdge, Alexa worked for Dunham & Associates Investment Council as a client service specialist, where she supported and serviced financial advisors and their end clients. Her responsibilities included account opening and maintenance, trading, and ensuring client success. Prior to DAIC, she was a Paraplanner for Pharaoh Financial Group in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she worked in tandem with a financial advisor, collecting and analyzing client data to create financial plans for clients.
Alexa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
Keita brings over 17 years of experience in professional executive support and has a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments. Prior to joining CoastEdge, she supported senior-level and C-suite executives at global Fortune 500 companies including S&P Global and Lockheed Martin in Washington D.C.. Working alongside senior CoastEdge executives, Keita enhances productivity, optimizes schedules, and sustains client relations.
Keita holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from University of Colorado.
Vice President - Investments
Kris Farren Moss is a Vice President of Investments at CoastEdge. Before joining the firm, she held a variety of investment research and business development positions. Most recently she worked in strategic planning and corporate development for Ascus Biosciences, an early stage biotech company. Prior to that she held origination and analysis roles at hedge funds and private equity firms Torrey Pines Capital Management, CE2 Capital Partners and Cove Global Asset management. Kris is an experienced leader with skills in investment sourcing and analysis, capital raising, business development and compliance.
Kris is a CFA charter holder and received a BA and MBA from Stanford University.
Senior Operations Associate
Mike focuses on client reporting and operations, and prior to joining CoastEdge, he worked on the Portfolio Investments team at PennyMac Capital Markets, where he helped oversee $500 million in monthly transactional deals and associated reporting. Mike brings working experience in transaction management, modeling, operations improvement, and process automation.
Mike has successfully completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam, and is member of the CFA Society of San Diego, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Vice President - Client Service Operations
Michelle has over fifteen years of experience in operations and client service in the financial services industry. Prior to joining CoastEdge, Michelle was member of the Investor Relations team at StepStone Group, a $40 billion global private markets firm, where her responsibilities included onboarding new investors and supporting client communications and other aspects of client service. Prior to StepStone, Michelle worked at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management, a $14 billion investment management firm that was acquired by PIMCO in 2019, on the Portfolio Administration and Client Service teams where she led the reconciliation of accounts and provided general support to clients, respectively.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Philosophy in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
Partner - Portfolio Manager
Parker is a partner at CoastEdge Partners and leads the firm’s portfolio management efforts. With a wide spectrum of responsibility for strategies in equities, fixed income, currencies and derivatives, Parker brings proven experience in idea generation, risk analytics, financial modeling and operational due diligence. Prior to joining CoastEdge, Parker held positions in global investment research and trading, financial advisory, and compliance. Most recently, he was a member of PIMCO’s Global Credit Investment Team that oversaw $250 billion in assets. Prior to PIMCO, he worked for Merrill Lynch’s Private Bank, and spent time abroad with the U.S. Department of State while in school.
Parker holds a BA in Economics from Chapman University where he played baseball and graduated in three years as Valedictorian, and received an MBA from Cornell University where he was a Park Leadership Fellow.
Administrative Assistant & Support Professional
As an administrative and support professional, Rebecca brings enthusiasm and communication skills to contribute to the CoastEdge Partners leadership and operational team members. She collaborates with members of the teams on a day to day basis to ensure efficient operations of the firm. Prior to joining CoastEdge, Rebecca gained experience working for Stanford University, and recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management from Sonoma State University.
Rich has been an entrepreneur, operator, and investor since 1992. His experience prior to CoastEdge Partners includes serving as a senior executive of a $3 billion alternative asset management firm and Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of a publicly traded medical device company. He has also worked in private equity and founded or co-founded multiple businesses in the financial services, healthcare services, telecommunications, and real estate industries, collectively generating over $700 million of revenue at exit.
Rich remains active in Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and has served in a number of leadership roles for non-profit organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar.
Steve has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years. Prior to CoastEdge Partners, Steve served as president and managing partner of Gurtin Municipal Bond Management, a $14 billion investment management firm that was acquired by PIMCO in 2019. Steve previously worked at Morgan Stanley in Chicago and California, focusing on fixed income portfolio management. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was a manager at Accenture where he advised multiple Fortune 500 financial services companies.
Steve is a member of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Investment Committee for the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. He also serves as Chairman of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) San Diego chapter.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, where he served as class president, and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
CFO & Head of Fund Accounting
Teri has over 30 years of financial services industry experience gained from a broad range of accounting and operational roles. Most recently Teri was a Senior Vice President of Finance at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management, acquired by PIMCO in 2019, where she was an employee at the initial founding of the company, and established and oversaw the firm’s portfolio accounting, reporting and finance functions. Teri began her career as an Investment Manager with Lane Bank Group in Chicago, followed by serving as an Analyst and Administrator for The Chicago Corporation Midwest Bank Funds, a series of limited partnership funds investing in local and regional bank M&A candidates. Teri has also served as an independent consultant to multiple high profile financial services companies including Household International, Morgan Stanley and Citadel.
Teri received a BS degree in Finance from Northern Illinois University and holds a Certified Public Accountant designation (CPA, registered in Illinois).
